At GGG (German Gambian Group), we are committed to building a successful farming and business park in Berending, The Gambia. As a privately financed initiative, our mission is to create jobs, produce high-quality food, and promote local industrial development. We aim to demonstrate the potential of sustainable practices and strong partnerships between Germany and The Gambia.
Products and Services
Here’s what we’re working to bring to market:
- Meat Production: Up to 400 goats and sheep per year
- Nut Production: Up to 5 tons annually
- Fruit Production: Up to 30 tons annually
- Animal Fodder Production: Approximately 200 tons per year
- Natural Fertilizer Production: Approximately 150 tons per year
Every aspect of our farming follows strict health, hygiene, and sustainability standards. From free-running animals in a cashew orchard to eco-friendly fodder production, GGG embodies responsible and innovative agriculture.
Sustainability
Sustainability is central to our mission at GGG:
- Electricity: Our 15kW solar plant with 10kWh power storage ensures a reliable and eco-friendly energy supply.
- Water: Our on-site borehole provides consistent access to fresh water.
- Wastewater: Treated through an in-house sewage system to minimize environmental impact.
- Cycle Economy: We utilize natural fertilizers and self-produced animal feed to reduce waste and optimize resource use.
We believe that sustainable practices not only benefit our project but also contribute positively to the community and environment.
